Hi Jordan,
I came to the site seeking guidance in an up and down relationship that I've been in the last 4 years. Unfortunately, I don't really have anyone in my life that I feel comfortable talking to about it. We met in high school and are both 20 now, soon to be 21. She is a Libra
We've had more than our share of fights. In fact it seems like we're always arguing with each other about something. We've nearly broken up on a number of occasions. She's gained a significant amount of weight since we started dating (and hasn't really shown interest in changing), has become increasingly insecure, clingy and childish. I've felt hesitant about our relationship from day one, but we hit it off and started dating and I fell in love. However, I've always been a skeptical person. I'm still not sure what being in love actually is, if I'm truly in love, if my being skeptical is a good enough reason for breaking up, etc, etc. In any case, I came across your site and decided to follow the guide on creating your soulmate. I'm not sure if I want that to be who I'm with now or someone else. If it is to be someone else, I'm afraid I don't have the guts to end the current relationship. Anyway, I came up with my list of traits in a soulmate. It's pretty long and some are a little "shallow," but I was told to be specific lol.
Also, I wanted to mention that I have been consistently working on myself, though I know I could do more. (I lost 30 pounds in the last 6 months, have been studying my interests diligently, keeping well groomed, being more positive, etc).

Hello Jonathon,
Relationships are the strongest way for a person's soul to evolve. In relationships, there are countless opportunities for one to look within himself or herself and identify areas to work on in order to harness the power of the light. Most think improving relationships is about improving the people around him or her, and don't realize that instead of focusing on others, redirecting the focus to himself or herself is a more powerful way of evolution.
First, lets start with your current relationship. Do you feel there are any areas of the relationship that you could improve upon? If the roles were reversed in your current relationship, would you be satisfied with the energy and emotion your girlfriend displays? Judgment of others is easy to do and is actually a form of temptation.
You may want to read the page on the seven virtues and seven deadly sins. These pages are a great start to learning about how to harness the light, instead of temptation in each thought and action. Is the energy one holds onto positive, or negative? Often, people forget the type of energy he or she has within his or her soul affects relationships.
Now, getting to your list on your ideal soul mate... It is clear you spent a lot of time thinking of what it is that you want. Now if you were to pick the top 10 characteristics from the list below, what would they be? Now the question is, are you the ideal soul mate for the person you described below? If you would bump into your soul mate today, would you fit her "dream guy" status or is there any area about yourself that needs fine-tuning. Part 3 of the "How to Find Your Soul Mate" is actually the most important step in finding that perfect person. It is the investment of energy in your own soul.
